ACHIEVED WAGE RAISES IN CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS

POLICE
5% raise effective July 1, 2024
$1800 bonus

SHERIFF
4.5% raise effective July 1, 2024
$1500 bonus

  • Increased Parental Leave from 6 to 8 weeks of paid leave
  • Sick Leave Conversion to Medical cost reduced by 20%
  • Meal Allowance doubled from $7 to $14
  • Retiree Medical Reimbursement increased from $500 to $550 dollars
  • Expanded Life Insurance Benefits to include coverage for members, spouses, and children while drastically reducing costs

EXPANDED WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVES

  • Guide App for access to mental health and personal development free to members
  • Wellthy Wellness Program benefits for members and families at no cost

IMPLEMENTED NEW INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

  • Completed first ever electronic survey for Active Members to provide input for 2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement with 50% participation
  • Launched new communication channels for Members to stay updated via text and email
  • Re-branded 3 new websites with focus on marketing assets and adding more resources for our members

HISTORIC $5 MILLION GRANT FOR THE PPD AND PUBLIC SAFETY
